Issue/Introduction

What do the numbers in the messages with U00003406 and U00003407 mean?  For example:

U00003406 Client connection '26(8)'  from 'xx.xx.xx.xxx:57650' has logged on to the Server.
U00003407 Client connection '26(7)' from 'xx.xx.xx.xxx:57650' has logged off from the Server.

What are the 26, the 7 or 8, and the number following the IP address?

Resolution

Using these examples:

U00003406 Client connection '26(8)'  from 'xx.xx.xx.xxx:57650' has logged on to the Server.
U00003407 Client connection '26(7)' from 'xx.xx.xx.xxx:57650' has logged off from the Server.

The first number, 26 above, is the connection number of that component based on total number of connections that have been made to the CP - even if they have disconnected.

The second number, 7 or 8 above, is the current connection number of that component based on the active connections on that CP.

The third number, 57650 above, is the port being used by the component.

So in this case, the component connecting is the 26th connection that has been made to this CP since startup of this CP.  This component is currently the 8th active component connected to this CP.  It is connecting from port 57650.
