Issue/Introduction

I am trying to run MQ on my systems to no avail. It does not run after installing. It quits working. This is the error in the logs.

 [com.wily.powerpack.websphereMQ.agent.MQMonitor.upgradation.FileReader] Found MQMonitor.properties for # Version: 10.7.0.197
[WARN] [com.wily.powerpack.websphereMQ.agent.MQMonitor.trace.TraceProperties] handshake.mqagent.id value is blank or not a number. This is mandatory property for MQ trace. Handshake will not be started without valid value.
[INFO] [com.wily.powerpack.websphereMQ.agent.MQMonitor.trace.TraceProperties] ******************************************************

Environment

Release : 10.7.0

Component : APM Agents

Resolution

Corrected the host, port and channelname properties.

Then encountered this error.

[ERROR] [com.wily.powerpack.websphereMQ.agent.MQMonitor.trace.handshake.HandshakeReader] HandshakeReader.createQueueHandle Problem in creating conn
queue: CA_WILY_HANDSHAKE for handshake. MQJE001: Completion Code '2', Reason '2085'.

Creating the handshake queue as per below resolved this error.

Set the Handshake Queue
Handshake refers to the communication between the MQMonitor agents and MQ Java Connector agents. You can perform the handshake by creating a queue (handshake queue) on an existing Queue Manager. You can also perform the handshake on a new Queue Manager that is accessible from all application servers and MQMonitor agents.
To define a local queue, for example, CA_WILY_HANDSHAKE, enter the MQSC command:
define QLOCAL(CA_WILY_HANDSHAKE) USAGE(NORMAL) PUT(ENABLED) GET(ENABLED) DEFPSIST(NO) SHARE DEFSOPT (SHARED) DESCR('For Introscope Use')
The MQSC command defines the CA_WILY_HANDSHAKE queue with the put and get properties enabled, not persistent, and shareable.
To verify the queue, enter the command:
display QLOCAL(CA_WILY_HANDSHAKE)
