People dashboard is sparsely populated or empty

Issue/Introduction

No person entities are displayed in the default People dashboard, located in the Information Centric Analytics (ICA) console under the Identities menu. Active Directory is integrated and a query of the table LDW_Users shows users have been generated; however, the table LDW_Persons is sparsely populated or empty.

Cause

Person entities will only be created for users who are associated with the default domain.

Resolution

The general portal setting Default Domain must be set to match the NETBIOS domain value of the user records ingested from Active Directory. To make this change, navigate to Admin > Settings > General and search for Default Domain. Update this value to match the NETBIOS domain value of your users.
