Issue/Introduction

The "Cookie Timeout Minutes" parameter was increased from 20 to 240 in the SsoConfig utility but continues to timeout after 20 minutes.  Is there another step that needs to be completed?

Here are the Single Sign-On Parameters:

================================

SSO Configuration/DX NetOps/Single Sign-On:
Anonymous User Enabled: Disabled
Anonymous User ID: 2
Localhost User Sign-In Page Enabled: Disabled
Localhost User Enabled: Enabled
Localhost User ID: 1
Cookie Timeout Minutes: 240
Encryption Decryption Key: ########
Encryption Algorithm: DES
Failed Sleep Seconds: 3
Remember Me Enabled: Enabled
Remember Me Timeout Days: 15
Scheme: http
Port: 8381
Virtual Directory: sso
Allow Single Sign-On in a frame: Disabled

Cause

If you raise the Cookie Timeout Minutes value to something higher than 30, you also need to make a change within  /opt/CA/PerformanceCenter/PC/webapps/pc/WEB-INF/web.xml

Environment

Release : Supported releases up to 20.2.10

Component : IM Reporting / Admin / Configuration

Resolution

Find:

<session-config>
    <cookie-config>
        <name>JSESSIONID</name>
        <http-only>true</http-only>
    </cookie-config>
</session-config>

And change to:

<session-config>
    <cookie-config>
        <name>JSESSIONID</name>
        <http-only>true</http-only>
    </cookie-config>
    <session-timeout>$VALUE</session-timeout>
</session-config>

Where $VALUE = what is set in Cookie Timeout Minutes x 60.

For example, if Cookie Timeout Minutes = 240, you would set $VALUE to 14400.
