Issue/Introduction

Device monitored by snmpcollector probe is not displaying all interfaces.  Interfaces missing are all configured as ifType=1.

Cause

Interfaces of ifType=1 are not displayed by default.

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - SNMPCOLLECTOR

Resolution

You can disable the vendor certification file "snmp_port.xml".

How to disable the vendor certification file by using the RAW Configuration of SnmpCollector Probe

  1. Go to Admin Console
  2. Select the Domain → Hub → Robot → Probes Tab
  3. In the list of Probes → Click on the Properties button of SnmpCollector Probe
  4. Click on “Raw Configure”
  5. Select vendor certifications section → add a new key
  6.  With
    1. Key: snmp-port.xml
    2. Value: disabled
  7. Click on CREATE
  8. Click on UPDATE then close the configure pop up window
  9. Restart the SnmpCollector Probe
  10. Re-discover the device
  11. We can see the Interfaces with ifType 1 can be discovered and the Vendor Certification has been changed into “IfXTableMibwithIfType1”

Additional Information

A similar solution is described in another document.  It leaves the xml file enabled but edits the contents of the snmp-port.xml file.
