Management Center GUI indicate "License suspension by duplicate serial in XX days".

Issue/Introduction

• Management Center VA appliance  is running version 3.1.x.
• You are seeing  "License suspension by duplicate serial in XX days"  
• You don't use this said serial number in another server.
• MC is able to access internet and validate.es.bluecoat.com.

The "xx days" are decreasing every day how to fix this issue?

 

Environment

Management Center Virtual-Appliance running 3.1.x 

Recently upgrade MC-VA to 3.1.x 

 

Cause

This is MC 3.1.x base OS bug.  This bug is fix in MC 3.2.1.1

Running "licensing load" or "show licenses"  will trigger this bug.

 

 

Resolution

Fix:

Upgrade MC to version 3.2.1.1 

 

Workaround:

Restart Management Center. 

You can restart by running "restart" in MC's CLI, privilege mode

 e.g.

#restart

Once rebooted, it may take up to 24 hours for the message to disappear.

Note: Running "licensing load" or "show licenses"  command on MC 3.1.x CLI  would  trigger the issue again on which another restart is needed
