Certs for Database in Transit encryption for OM Web Viewer 12.1

Issue/Introduction

The DBA group is working on getting server certs requested for the DB server as our old servers have them they are assuming these will need them.
According to the DBA, these are the certs used for Data In Transit encryption. They force encrypted communications to the DB server.
Will this affect the Web Viewer application? Do we need any changes on the Web Viewer servers to accommodate this?

Resolution

Web Viewer is not involved at all if you choose to use certs connecting to the SQL database.

You can certainly do this, and if it is not set up properly it can prevent Web Viewer from functioning, but it is not part of the Web Viewer configuration.
