Issue/Introduction

In some situations you may see a computer running a compliance scan outside of the scheduled compliance scans schedule.  For example, you have created a managed software delivery policy that runs a compliance check every day at 8:00 p.m.  It is important to understand that as long as the installation state of the software has not changed, these compliance scans will not send any data up to the Symantec Management Platform server.

Cause

Target/Filter applied to the policy has some type of change, such as computers being added/removed to it.

Resolution

This is working as designed.  However, you can configure the policy not do this by setting the following advanced option on the managed software delivery policy, compliance schedule > advanced options:  computer is available at the exact scheduled time.
