Issue/Introduction

A processor step running BSTCOPY fails with error message while trying to copy a member.
The step fails with error message:
C1G0192E  MEMBER IGL00001 COULD NOT BE COPIED, REASON CODE 83000422

Cause

REASON CODE 83000422 indicates that a Cobol version 5+ load that resides in a PDSE library  failed to copy to a PDS library.

Resolution

Vrom Cobol version 5, loads (linked programs) must be in a PDSE library. The output library in the BSTCOPY step must be converted to a PDSE.
