How to check current number of Symantec VIP licenses and usage
Resolution
- Log into VIP Manager (https://manager.vip.symantec.com/)
- Navigate to Account tab for Account Information.
In the above example, there are 165 purchased license and 211 total users.
VIP allows usage to exceed the number of licenses. Typically, an audit is performed during the contract renewal by reviewing users who were active in last 12 months. This can be located by going to the Users tab and selecting the filter 'Active Within - Past 1 Year'. The active user count is displayed at the top of the result list.
Similar usage for accounts licensed by credentials can be located by going to the Credentials tab and selecting the filter 'Last Validated Within - Past 1 Year'.
