Issue/Introduction

When trying to generate a certificate signing request using the TSS GENREQ command, the following error occurs.

TSS GENREQ(CERTSITE) DIGICERT(certname) DCDSN(data.set.name) LABLCERT('label cert')

TSS0441E INVALID DIGITAL CERTIFICATE NAME

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

The certificate was not already created using the TSS GENCERT command. The TSS GENREQ command does not create a certificate. Prior to the TSS GENREQ command, the TSS GENCERT command needs to be issued to create the certificate.
