Issue/Introduction

This article outlines the resolution for an issue where the Identity Manager (IDM) management console is inaccessible following a service restart, accompanied by a 'java.security.KeyStoreException: problem accessing trust store' error in the logs.

Environment

Identity Manager 14.x

Cause

The issue is caused by a corrupted keystore file, which prevents the Identity Manager from correctly initializing the SSL socket factory during startup.

Resolution

To restore access to the management console, perform the following steps:

  1. Locate a verified, non-corrupted version of the keystore file from a recent backup or from an existing functional node within the cluster.
  2. Replace the corrupted keystore file on the impacted node with the verified file.
  3. Restart the CA Identity Manager service.
  4. Verify accessibility of the Management Console."
