System cpu usage and runq gradually increase, causing OS to hang.
PIM 12.8 SP1 for X64 Linux.
There was a defect found within memory allocation and release functions.
On a large scale system (such as 576 CPUS) where there are more than 25000 active threads, a "ps" command would turn out to be very expensive command as it has to go through lots of processes and files and etc.
As SEOS intercepts these open system calls, there will be memory allocation and release of kernel memory which hits this performance defect and got into a gradual hang condition.
Release : 12.8
Component : CA ControlMinder - Unix
A fix(T3E7263.tar.Z) has been provided.
This fix addresses the performance issue within memory allocation and release functions and avoid unnecessary performance bottleneck.
