Issue/Introduction

While trying to send email from the OneClick console, the customer is seeing the following error:

Environment

Release : All Supported Spectrum Releases

Component : SPCOCK - Spectrum OneClick

Cause

OneClick Web Server runtime debug showed the following exception in the stdout.log file:

Mar 02, 2021 13:40:04.315 - com.sun.mail.util.MailConnectException: Couldn't connect to host, port: [email protected], 25; timeout -1;
  nested exception is:
        java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)

The email was being blocked by a firewall.

Resolution

Remove the firewall rule blocking communication to the mailhost.
