CA PAM doesn't take the new disk partition for upgrade

Issue/Introduction

Upgraded VMware Appliance doesn't recognize newly extended filesystem (more space on harddrive)

 

Environment

Release : 3.3.x and 3.4.x

Component : PRIVILEGED ACCESS MANAGEMENT

Resolution

Login into VMware vCenter Console -> take a snapshot of you PAM appliance and than reboot the PAM Appliance.

Once you get to the GRUB menu - please press the "ESC" key to get to the GRUB Boot Menu.

Than please select:

CA PAM 3.3.<x> with fsck.mode=force fsck.repair=yes

or:

CA PAM 3.4.<x> with fsck.mode=force fsck.repair=yes
