NFA 500 Error when trying to add or edit reports /Active Server Pages Error ASP 0131

Issue/Introduction

When when trying to add or edit reports you could get a 500 error.

Also when trying to access pages such as example "Administration->Time filters", "Administration->Addresses", etc the following error is showed:

You may also get an "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error"

In your IIS logging you will see: Active Server Pages Error ASP 0131 Disallowed Parent Path

Cause

Enable Parent Paths is disabled in the IIS ASP settings.

Resolution

This is due ASP configuration error where "Enable Parent Paths" is disabled.

To resolve the problem please follow the steps below:

1. Open "Internet Information Services(IIS) Manager"
   
   
2. Click Default Web Site
   
   
3. Double-click ASP in the Features pane.
   
   
   
   
4. Expand Behavior and Click Enable Parent Paths"
   
   
5. Click True for Enable Parent Paths.
   
   
6. Click Apply.
   
   
7. From a command prompt as an Administrator run "iisreset"
   
   
8. Test again after IIS recycles and verify you can now access all of the Administration pages
