Upgrade application separately from the database

Issue/Introduction

We don't have access to application servers and we cannot execute installation script directly. So question is how to deploy database objects in production database server as there is no separate script. We would like to upgrade app and database separately.

Resolution

There is unfortunately no other supported way to do this that upgrade both app and database from the application servers.

We do not have a way to only upgrade database and the only way to perform a supported upgrade is via the install script. Any other way would be considered an unsupported customization, so for any issues we will not be able to assist anymore.

We suggest you request permissions to the application servers in order to run the installation scripts. Those can be revoked later if necessary.
