Issue/Introduction

We are upgrading CA Detector from Release 18.0 to Release 20.0, trying to determine if we can share the same control file from Release 18.0 to Release 20.0, both running concurrently?. 

Environment

Release : 20.0

Component : CA Detector for DB2 for z/OS

Resolution

Yes, the same control file can be shared between a Release 18.0 Xmanager (PTXMAN) and a Release 20.0 Xmanager (PTXMAN).  Both Xmangers can be running concurrently, however only one Xmanager can be collecting data for a specific DB2 Subsystem. 
 
For example: If Release 18.0 Xmanager collecting data for DB2 Subsystem ABCD, the Release 20.0 Xmanager connect collect data for the same DB2 Subsystem ABCD.
