Issue/Introduction

Client found the following .

1-  copy the unab-pkg-14.10.0.1494-_LINUX_X64.zip file to endpoint Linux
2- extract the unab-pkg-14.10.0.1494-_LINUX_X64.zip file

4- execute the command "./customize_uxauth_rpm -w proceed uxauth-1410.0-1494.x86_64.rpm"

Step 4 failed because the option "-w" is not recognized as a valid option as per the command output below.

[[email protected] UNAB]# ./customize_uxauth_rpm -w proceed uxauth-1410.0-1494.x86_64.rpm
Brief usage:
    customize_uxauth_rpm -h [-l lang]
    customize_uxauth_rpm -a [-d pkgdir] rpm_file
    customize_uxauth_rpm -r [-l lang] [-d pkgdir] rpm_file
    customize_uxauth_rpm -s -f file [-d pkgdir] rpm_file
    customize_uxauth_rpm -g [-f file] [-d pkgdir] rpm_file
    customize_uxauth_rpm -t tmpdir [-d pkgdir] rpm_file

Thanks.

Cause

The -w switch was discontinued  between 12.8 and 14.0 to make it easier to install without the extra step so it is no a valid switch

Environment

Release : 14.1

Component : PRIVILEGED ACCESS MANAGEMENT

Resolution

You can now install the RPM without the additional license check in customize_uxauth_rpm. You only need to use customize_uxauth_rpm if you want to preset the RPM with the environment details or customization.
