Unable to login to Enforce Console, browser displays '404 Redirect' message

Issue/Introduction

When you attempt to log in to the Enforce Console you only see a 404 Redirect message. Examining the localhost log you find the following error:

Thread: 18 SEVERE [org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/ProtectManager]] Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class [com.vontu.manager.spring.ManagerContextLoaderListener]
Cause:
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'initGeneralSettings': Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/symantec/dlp/util/config/ProxyWhiteListProviderorg.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'initGeneralSettings': Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/symantec/dlp/util/config/ProxyWhiteListProvider

 

Environment

DLP 15.5 MP2

Cause

This can be caused in the following circumstances:

1. 15.5 MP2 Enforce with Cloud Detection Servers
2. Installing an enhanced JDBC logger prior to version 15.5. MP2 4a on DLP 15.5 MP2 because the the ProxyWhiteListProvider class is missing from the vontu_utilities.jar package.

 

 

Resolution

Install the enhanced JDBC logger 15.5 MP2 v4a or higher.
