Can not change NCM device family

Issue/Introduction

We have a new device on line for testing Cisco 9407R

 

It look like its working, but the config is not backing up with this error:

SPC-OCC-10747: Error Capturing Configuration for Host: Failure

 

 

So as recommended by some articles here we ncreased the DCM timeout. Did not work.

Then we usually change the NCM Device Family and it works. However, the follow error is prompted:

"model doesn't belong to an NCM device family"

 

 

 

Resolution

Restart the SpectroSERVER and Tomcat.

There appears to be some database staleness or corruption happening.

Restart will enable the ability move the device to another family.
