Issue/Introduction

Created a new user and expired their password. Example:

TSS CREATE(acid) NAME('acid') PASSWORD(ppppppp,,EXP) DEPT(dept)

Does this user get marked as  INACTIVE if they exceed the INACTIVE Top Secret control option.

Example:

If the user is created today with and expired password on a system with INACTIVE(30), will they get marked as inactive and suspended if they dont attempt their first signon until 90 days from now?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

Newly created users that have expired passwords that have not signed on for the first time are not affected by the INACTIVE control option.

They will be allowed to signon for the first time and change their expired password without getting marked as inactive and suspended.
