Issue/Introduction

1. What is best practice for the execution authority of the IAgent ? (root/non-root)

2. What is best practice for the execution authority of the Sysedge component?

3.) Is the sysedge component executed as a child process of the IAgent?

4.) Are there RCScript /run control recommendations for order and run level of the IAgent?

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : APM Agents

Resolution

For question 1 & 2, either root or non-root user is ok.  For non-root user, it should have sudo permission. 
 
For question 3, the sysedge component is executed as host monitor agent process separately from the IA process.
 
He is not sure about your question #4 and would like clarification on it?
