Protection Engine Migration Utility fails with Error ID 22

Protection Engine for Cloud Services Protection Engine for NAS


Using the Symantec Protection Engine (SPE) migration utility fails when migrating settings to SPE 7.9. Logs from the migration attempt show the following:

The migration utility was not run with administrator/root priveleges.


Windows: Launch cmd explicitly as administrator using Right Click -> Run as Administrator.

Linux: Either change to root before running the command (sudo su) or run the migration command with sudo.
