Issue/Introduction

We want to understand the root cause for the switchover happened 

Cause

the consul service wasn't able to contact the DA and initiated a failover. This could be due to a network issue, or a resource issue, where the DA was over utilized.

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : IM Reporting / Admin / Configuration

Resolution

Make sure that the consul is running on both DAs 

Check that the heap usages on the Data Aggregator did not go over 80%

If neither of these issues turn out to be the problem, there was some other network issue which prevented the consul service from contacting the active DA
