How do we copy a lot of tapes, possibly hundreds to another tape medium such as virtual tape?

Issue/Introduction

Am converting from physical tape to virtual tape. Is there a utility that can copy a large number of tapes at one time from the physical tape medium to the virtual medium to make it more timely and efficient?

Environment

VSE 6.+

Dynam for VSE 7.+

Resolution

There is no "mass copy" utility available within Dynam for VSE. You will be required to copy the tapes using DYNCOPY.

In addition, the IBM utility DITTO can also be utilized to copy a standard format tape.
