Issue/Introduction

CIC log shows Another CIC is already running, aborting

 

Environment

Release : 1403

Component : DESKTOP AND SERVER MANAGEMENT

Resolution

Log shows 'CA Content Import Client" service is installed on Domain Manager.
 
It is not necessary to have this service as CIC is executed on demand by SystemEngine.
And this is causing some errors like :
INFO   | jvm 1    | 2021/02/11 00:02:27 | [com.ca.sccc.CCMain] - Another CIC is already running, aborting
 
You should remove this service by doing this :
Execute C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CIC\bin\OnlineServiceUninstall.bat
