WA Agent job results in SUBERROR - condition code of 4001

Issue/Introduction

Command job fails with a suberror 'file not found', condition code 4001.

 

Environment

Release : 11.x, 12.x

Component : CA WORKLOAD AUTOMATION AGENT

Cause

The WA agent is not able to access the path or script in the job.  The script or executable are not in the path.

Resolution

When running command jobs, provide the full path of the script or binary.  If full path is missing, then agent will rely on command lookup and user PATH environment variable to reach for the executable.

The following must be set to true in agentparm.txt file;

oscomponent.lookupcommand=true

Note: The path must also be accessible to the agent.  If the path is pointing to a network share, then appropriate permissions must be set for agent to be able to access the path and binary.
