Update UC_HOSTCHAR variable for a specific host

Issue/Introduction

This article shows how to configure KEEP_ALIVE = 60 and RECONNECT_TIME = 15 settings at a HOST level

 

Environment

Release : 12.3

Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Resolution

Logon to client 0 go to the folder HOST_VARIABLES and Duplicate the UC_HOSTCHAR_DEFAULT to a new object. In this case UC_HOSTCHAR_WIN01

 

Edit new object UC_HOSTCHAR_WIN01 and update the settings KEEP_ALIVE = 60 and RECONNECT_TIME = 15. Leave all the other parameters as it is.

 

Now go to  UC_EX_HOSTCHAR in the folder EX_VARIABLES and update which UC_HOSTCHAR is defined for the agent.

Note that we just need to enter the suffix WIN01 and not the complete name UC_HOSTCHAR_WIN01
