Issue/Introduction

FTPing to supportftp.broadcom.com from Broadcom gets the following error message and fails:

FC1108 authServer: secure_socket_init failed with rc = 412 (SSL protocol or cert
FC1597 endSecureConn: entered

Cause

Jan 2020 switch from SSL TLS 1.1 protocol to SSL TLS 1.2 protocol.

Resolution

The Broadcom supportftp.broadcom.com FTP Server was updated to support SSL protocol TLS 1.2 from TLS 1.1 in January 2020.

The FTP job needs the following control card to support the TLS 1.2 protocol.
