Issue/Introduction

Receiving the following error messages during CA LDAP startup:      

open(/cai/cacem/ldap/authid.pwd) failure rc=111   

ETLDP21I CA LDAP Server is starting 301                               
ETLDP27I CA LDAP Server load of module back_cemdb2_utf.dll succeeded  
ETLDP32I CA LDAP Server registration of module back_cemdb2_utf.dll    
(15.1.2019.0711) as a null module succeeded                           
ETLDP03I CA LDAP Server r15.1 has ended                               
IEF404I CEMELDAP - ENDED - TIME=15.54.56                              

 

Environment

Release : 6.0

Component : CA COMPLIANCE EVENT MANAGER

Resolution

The RC=111 for the open is cause by the user not having the appropriate authorization to access the file because of the permission bits.

Options:

1. Make the LDAP started task acid a superuser

2. Put the LDAP started task acid in a group that is authorized for the file

3. Adjust the files permissions to allow the LDAP started task acid to access the file.

 

Level 2 said, you can delete or rename the file since LDAP doesnt need it to initialize.
