CA IDMS Abend S0C4 in CAISAG +23A6

Issue/Introduction

Performong a CA IDMS  installation of the product. After transfering instalation datasets to another LPAR, CAISAG fails with a S0C4 abend at offset 23A8

Resolution

The abend occurs reading the records in a block of the CAGJSKEL file.
The CAGJSKEL file needs to have these attributes:

Record format . . . : F     
Record length . . . : 8000  
Block size  . . . . : 8000  

It cannot have a block size larger than 8000, it must be 8000.

The abend occurred because XCOM was used to transfer the file but the CODE=BINARY option was not specified for the CAGJSKEL file.
The file has binary data so the transfer has to be in binary mode.
