Idea Convert to Project - Field Values not Copying Over

Issue/Introduction

When we create a project from template from an idea in classic Clarity, fields that have null values (such as OBS or other attributes) in the project template, but are set in the idea, are coming over as no values on the convert.

Environment

Release : All Supported

Component : CA PPM SAAS PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Cause

This can be due to the fields being missing on the Project Layout: Create page. The fields need to be added to this page so that the value is populated from the Idea.

Resolution

Option 1: Add the fields to the Project Create page

1. In Clarity go to Administration->Objects->Project->Views
2. Click 'Layout: Create' next to Project Properties
3. Click the Properties icon next to 'General'
4. Move the attribute(s) from Available to one of the Selected Columns and click Save. 

Option 2: Create a custom process to copy the values over from the idea

Option 3: Use the Modern UI/UX as this issue doesn't occur there
