CA Network Flow Analysis (NetQos / NFA)

Issue/Introduction

After installing new NFA harvesters, we see that none of the NFA services will start.

Errors in most of the NFA services logs look like this:

WARN   | wrapper  | 2020/12/14 12:27:34 | Unable to write to the configured log directory: /logs/Netflow (Permission denied)
WARN   | wrapper  | 2020/12/14 12:27:34 |   The Wrapper may also have problems writing or rolling the log file.
WARN   | wrapper  | 2020/12/14 12:27:34 |   Please make sure that the current user has read/write access.
FATAL  | wrapper  | 2020/12/14 12:27:34 | ERROR: Could not write pid file /CA/NFA/Netflow/Logs/poller.pid: Permission denied

Cause

Permissions for the log directories (/CA/NFA/Netflow/Logs) have been changed or restricted. If the services can't write out their logs, they will have trouble functioning.

Environment

Release : 10.0

Component : NQRPTA - REPORTERANALYZER

Resolution

Ensure the necessary directories are accessible using 'chmod -R'
