Issue/Introduction

What is the difference between defining CPFNODES in Top Secret and defining them in the Node Descriptor Table (NDT)?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

CPFNODES defined to Top Secret cannot be dynamically updated but CPFNODES defined in the NDT can be dynamically updated.
This means that any changes made to CPFNODES defined to Top Secret will need a recycle of the TSS Address space.
Changes made to CPFNodes defined in the NDT can be dynamically updated giving immediate results.
