Issue/Introduction

How do I see the "What If" predicted end time on the Monitoring tab of AAI?

 

By default you must go to the Gantt chart of a job in an NPTF state and click the light bulb icon at the top right of the chart to see "What if" predictions.

These predictions are not visible directly from the table on the monitoring tab.

Resolution

In order to see the "What if" predictions on the monitoring tab follow the steps below:

 

1. Launch the AAI Configuration Tool /<Install Dir>/config/run.sh (run.bat for Windows)

 

2. Go to the "Params" tab, then select "less commonly configured", and look for "predictWhatifContinuosly" and set to true.

 

3. Close any open AAI clients and reopen them.

 

4. Go to the monitoring tab and if you have a job in progress in a NPTF state (Not Predicted to Finish), right click the column headers and you will see several "What if" column headers you can now add like below:

Note this will only work with Autosys Classic schedulers and not Autosys V2 schedulers
