Issue/Introduction

The focus of the KB Article is to help you to implement SP3 or a hotfix from most upgrades on 10.7

Environment

Release : 10.7.0

Resolution

IMPORTANT: The file for the upgrade must be ran from the <EM Home or root> folder.

The SP3 files should be downloaded from https://support.broadcom.com/download-center/product-files.html?sku_code=APMNGM99000&release=10.7.0&gen_level=SP3.  Any hotfixes will be provided by Broadcom to a case.

The file you are looking for  APM r10.7.0.0 SP3 (EM/WebView/Workstation/ACC) Upgrade Patch (for server-side upgrade from APM r10.7.0.45 and above) - GEN500000000000896.zip

Unzip GEN500000000000896.zip and move the file APM10.7.0.197SP3.jar to the EM home folder

The command to run this upgrade is

java -jar APM10.7.0.197SP3.jar

You must be in the EM root/home folder to run this command!!!

If you run this command and it can't find java then you need to put the path in front of the java

Windows ex. "C:\CA APM\Introscope10.7.0.45\jre\java" - jar APM10.7.0.197SP3.jar

Linux ex. /root/Introscope10.7.0.45/jre/java - jar APM10.7.0.197SP3.jar.

You should expect to see the command start running and finding the different components to upgrade.  If you WebView or Postgres on another server you will need to move the file and run the command again (making sure that you have the path for java.

You should see completion was successful.  If not then open a case and provide the Hotfix folder and install logs to the case.

If you are needing to implement a hotfix then you will unzip the file provided and replace the previous command with the hotfix file name ex. java -jar hotfix_file_name_here
