AAI upgrade popup windows shows "Not a valid install directory"

Issue/Introduction

The AAI upgrade will have a popup window after launched that may say "Not a valid install directory".

 

 

Environment

Release : 6.2.0

Component : AUTOMIC AUTOMATION INTELLIGENCE ENGINE

Resolution

In upgrades to AAI 6.x and later, for Windows the popup window will always default to C:\Automic_Automation_Intelligence.

 

This is not actually a problem, you just need to change the path to where you originally installed JAWS/AAI.

 

Once you chose the correct root install directory you will see that the "Select" box is no longer grayed out.

 

From that point the upgrade should continue on.

 

If there are any further errors there will be an upgrade.log in the <Directory where you ran the upgrade from>\install\log directory where you may find an error.
