Issue/Introduction

Running with four lpars in a sysplex and upgrading to Common Services 15.0, getting below error in CCITCPGW started task:  

CAS9850I - CCI TCP/IP Protocol Driver TCPIPGW  Starting
CAS9850I - CCI Sysid Name = sysid
CAS9899E - Error 138 in connect to TCP/IP stack TCPIP   
CAS9899I - 'TCP=' parameter ignored
CAS9899I - Only Unsecured Connections Allowed
CAS9850I - CCI/SSL Active
CAS9850I - CCI TCP/IP Protocol Driver Ready.
CAS9850I - CCI TCP/IP Host Name = hostname
CAS9850I - Port = nnnn
CAS9850I - Addr = ###.##.###.#

 

 

Environment

COMMON SERVICES 15.0 - z/OS supported releases -

Resolution

Specify TCP=xxxxxxxx to ensure that CCITCPGW would bind to a specific IP stack in a multi-stack environment.

That error indicates that a stack called TCPIP is not running.  The code will connect to whatever stacks are available and function fine. 

If not intending to run a TCP/IP stack called "TCPIP", remove that parameter.
