Issue/Introduction

Identity Manager Unix v2 connector reports an error when creating Solaris endpoint:

Solaris machine is up and running, it is visible from JCS machine, and the prompt regex is correct and can validate OS prompt of Solaris machine.

Environment

Release : 14.x

Component : IdentityMinder(Identity Manager)

Cause

The default shell of the Solaris account used to acquire the endpoint is sh or ksh

Resolution

To acquire Solaris endpoint using Unix v2 connector it is mandatory to have bash as the default shell for Solaris administrator account.

If default shell is ksh or sh, change it to bash for the root or sudo account used to acquire endpoint.
