CA App Synthetic Monitor

Issue/Introduction

Seems that ASM does not support the feature 'Wait for requests' within Webdrive and JMeter scripts .

Environment

Release : SAAS

Component : CA APP SYNTHETIC MONITOR (WATCHMOUSE)

Cause

In case of JMeter the Latency and Time metrics shown in the check summary table are taken from values 'Latency' and 'Elapsed time' as calculated by JMeter.

The following link describes how they are calculated: https://jmeter.apache.org/usermanual/glossary.html  In the upcoming hotfix ASM is replacing these values with Total Time to avoid confusion.  Consider doing the same for the Webdriver monitor.

Resolution

Per ASM Engineering, the fix for the 'Wait for network traffic to stop' feature is included in Hotfix 10.6.1 , and it is released to all public monitoring stations
