Management Unit Directories cannot be modified or deleted

Issue/Introduction

Management Unit Directories cannot be removed or modified, an error is displayed in UVC when trying to save the Object.

"The related object could not be found Node [NODENAME[[]"

Even if the Management Unit is removed and then it is recreated with the same name, the old Management Unit Folders are displayed again.

Release : 6.x

Component : DOLLAR UNIVERSE

Cause

Unknown, issue probably related to corrupted Management Unit definition imported from version 5.x into the node version 6.x after doing a uniexp/uniimp -full

Resolution

Workaround:

WARNING - this procedure must be performed ONLY with the help of Technical Support as the u_ftts60.dta may result corrupted.

 

It seems that somehow the file u_ftts60.dta contains duplicated lines regarding the Management Unit Directories.

The line that contains the correct information and that should remain in the file has local in its column 19 as below:

Line ok: ATDI003*local X000000003!" /users12/ccf00/exploit/script /users12/ccf00/exploit/script /users12/ccf00/exploit/script /users12/ccf00/exploit/script

Like ko: ATDI003* X000000003!" /users12/ccf00/exploit/script /users12/ccf00/exploit/script /users12/ccf00/exploit/script /users12/ccf00/exploit/script

The lines KO must be removed from the u_ftts60.dta file to fix the issue.

After that is done (offline), a reorg needs to be done so that the u_ftts60.idx file gets recreated.
