Issue/Introduction

Is there a way to syntax check Top Secret parameters file via a batch  job?

Or something else, prior to using the parameters to initialize TSS?

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

There is no utility or functionality for TSSPARM file syntax checking.  

Putting TSS MODIFY in front of all the TSS parmfile setting and running it as a IKJEFT01 batch job is an alternative.

Not all parmfile setting can be executed via TSS MODIFY. There are some parmfile setting that can only be done during TSS startup so you will get error messages indicating that running the IKJEFT01 batch job.
