UPM patch download failing with error "IOException caught when attempting GET from "http://download.windowsupdate.com"

Resolution

This is due to slow internet connection on server where patch manager is installed . Identify the patch its showing this error and try to download manually using link. If this patch size is grater than 1 GB , observer the download speed and hours its taking to download . Check with network/proxy team to rectify slow internet problem.
