Issue/Introduction

Can a wildcard be used in the 'path' for a USS trigger job?

Example:

 DSTRIG USS.TEST
DSNAME '/example/cai/xfer-' USS

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component :  ESP WORKLOAD AUTOMATION

Resolution

Wildcard character in USS file is currently not supported by the ESP DSTRIG function.

DSNAME must have the full path and filename.

Example:

DSTRIG USS.TEST
DSNAME '/example/cai/xfer' USS

. If filename xfer is created, the trigger occurs.

. If filename xfer.txt is created, the trigger will not occur.

. if filename xfer_1218200205 is created, the trigger will not occur.
