Issue/Introduction

We recently upgraded to Harvest 13.0.4 and Oracle 19c. This was our first attempt to load or check in. We are getting a long delay and then eventually a PEC EC=9 error.

We can create packages, update forms and query the database just fine.

Release : 13.0.3

Component : CA Harvest Software Change Manager

Resolution

Check in and check out processes open a second port, so you need to check:
1. Is there a direct connect port range configured in %RTHOME%\standard\rtserver.cm or $RTHOME/standard/rtserver.cm
2. If the answer to #1 is yes, this second port will come from the direct connect port range so you need to make sure those ports are open in the firewall for traffic in both directions
3. If the answer to #1 is no, this second port will come from the ephemeral port range so you need to make sure all those ports are open in the firewall for traffic in both directions
