It can cause confusion, for example some of the context tabs do not apply to device in question. Therefore will see missing data in some of those views and this can lead to Performance Management not collecting all the metrics.

Move/hover the mouse over the Summary tab, to the right select setting. Then select "restore all tabs to factory defaults".
You are presented with a warning message before you reset the tabs. You should now see less tabs and those relate to the device.
