Error: ORA-00439: feature not enabled: Partitioning in R12SP1

Issue/Introduction

Installing or upgrading AutoSys Workload Automation failed when the partitioning feature is disabled on Oracle or the database creation or upgrade is done on Oracle Standard Edition.

Installer log or CreateAEDB.pl or RefreshAEDB.pl fails with below error:

ORA-00439: feature not enabled: Partitioning

Environment

Release : 12.0 SP1

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Cause

Oracle Standard Edition does not enable the partitioning feature by default and trying to create or upgrade the database could lead to the problem. 

Resolution

The Database Administrator (DBA) can disable or enable the partitioning feature.
