Issue/Introduction

This article explains how to proceed if, for some reason, the user's password configured in the connection with database was lost or changed.

Environment

Release : 2.94

Component : CA CAPACITY MANAGER

Resolution

Please execute the following steps:

1. Stop the Apache tomcat service in the CCC machine;

2. Take a backup of the below mentioned files and update password field with the new/updated password (plain text):

<Installed_Directory>\Capacity Command Center 2.9.4\ccc.properties

<Installed_Directory>\Capacity Command Center 2.9.4\ApacheTomcat\webapps\ccc\WEB-INF\classes\ccc.properties

<Installed_Directory>\Capacity Command Center 2.9.4\ccc-migrations\cml\environments\ccc-db.properties

<Installed_Directory>\Capacity Command Center 2.9.4\ccc-migrations\standard\environments\ccc-db.properties

3. Start the Apache Tomcat service and check if the connection is working;

Note: It might take 4-5 minutes for the new database connection to work after starting Apache Tomcat service.
