Some Channel Updates for Office 365 Security Updates are not Available in Patch Management Remediation Center

Issue/Introduction

In your environment you may be supporting multiple Microsoft Office Update channel versions.  For example from Release notes for Microsoft Office security updates you will notice the following Semi-Channel Updates:

• Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel: Version 2008 (Build 13127.21064)
• Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel: Version 2002 (Build 12527.21504)
• Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel: Version 1908 (Build 11929.20994)

You will find version 2008, under the Semi-Channel Update, and you will find the 2002 version under the Deferred update.  However, you do not see version 1908.

Patch Management Solution 8.x

Cause

Patch Management Solution only offers two versions.  The two versions in this example would be the latest version 2008, and the preceding version, 2002.

Resolution

This is currently working as designed.  Patch Management Solution only offers two versions.  The two versions in this example would be the latest version 2008, and the preceding version, 2002.  If possible you can utilize Software Management Solution to distribute and install the older update.
